Makena, Maui

If you've been following my blog for awhile you'll already know that I'm absolutely in love with Maui's northshore. However, our southshore is pretty impressive too. Lots of gem colored coves and raw looking a'a lava...sort of reminds my of the Big Island.
Here's a couple pictures of Makena.
Enjoy!

  1. I always used to make it a point to go over to Makena...every trip! But I haven't been over there in years. I was scared off by a creepy guy that invited me and my dad to join him on the "baby beach" side. It didn't take us long to realize that everyone on that side of the beach was naked!!! That was an interesting experience in itself...made even more interesting by the fact I was with my father!

  3. We did always make it a point to go to Makena, when the ony way to find it was rags tied to trees. The Baby Beach has always been "suits optional" :-)
