Storm Front coming... (I'm not talking metophorically either)

Lot's of running around and taking care of loose ends. The ocean was super flat today (but that should be changing soon) and the Trade Winds were howling on my drive along the coast to Wailea. So in turn this means, not a great day to surf or paddle board ( good...because I had too much to do anyway! ). Thanks to Hurricane Felicia I think our island weather will be taking a turn for the worst come Sunday night. Hence, I am super bummed that we have absolutely no swell to speak of over the sunny weekend. Starting Monday however, Maui County should start seeing a storm surge, heavy rain, wind and some big surf on our eastern shores as Hurricane Felicia approaches the state. I've seen some gnarly weather out here in the islands like our annual "Kona Storms" ( in some "Kona Storms" rain fall can reach as much as a foot in 24 hrs! )However, I have yet to experience a real hurricane in Hawaii. Carlos having grown up in Florida has hardly raised an eyebrow over the threat of Hurricane Felicia however, he does keep saying over and over, "We should get some water".............and that we will............and some wine.
